Why We Built This Site
Nebraska provides several public access routes, yet choosing the correct custodian is not always simple. In Thomas County, the sheriff holds agency reports and local custody information. County Court keeps misdemeanor, traffic, and early felony records, while District Court holds felony trial files. The Nebraska State Patrol maintains fingerprint-supported state histories and the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry. State prison records come from the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services. This site organizes the verified contacts, official search systems, fees, and request steps for those separate sources.
What You Will Find Here
- Agency contacts: where to reach the Thomas County Sheriff, both court clerks, and Nebraska record systems
- Record guides: how criminal court case records are found and read in Thomas County
- Official check steps: how name-based and fingerprint-supported records work through the Nebraska State Patrol
- Record relief: how Nebraska set-asides and nonpublic-record rules differ, and which court handles a filing
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of a Nebraska court, law-enforcement office, or state agency. Those boundaries limit what we can provide:
- We do not issue certified court files, RAP sheets, or law-enforcement reports
- We cannot submit set-aside motions, public-records requests, or other forms for a visitor
- We cannot perform an official criminal-history check for anyone
- We do not give legal advice about a charge, warrant, conviction, or case
- We cannot promise that an agency's fee, hours, address, or procedure has not changed
An official record must come from its custodian, such as the Thomas County Sheriff, the proper court clerk, or the Nebraska State Patrol. This site can identify that office but cannot supply the document.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. Each provider controls its own prices, results, and service terms. We may receive a referral fee if a visitor follows one of those tools and purchases a service, which supports free access to this resource. We do not set the provider's charges or decide which records appear in its results.
